The Heins Boys, January 2011

How is it already January and Evan is already 7 months old? Crazy. We dont have a lot to report from the month. After the craziness of Christmas its been nice to have a few quiet weeks to recuperate.

We had to do the pictures of the two boys twice this month. Evan is moving around a lot more and seems to have a fascination with Nate’s eyeballs. So, these were the best from both attempts.

OMG…Unbearable Cuteness

A Really Good Visit

Thanks G.G. for the wonderful month together. We loved having you here. Stay safe and we’ll see you next Christmas!

Christmas 2010

We had a very busy week. From the 24th to the 29th all we did was run. We basically were home only to sleep. It was a wonderful week despite the hectic pace and the boys were absolutely amazing considering their routine totally went down the toilet. I had so many people comment on how wonderful and how well behaved they were. Must be doing something right.

Christmas Tree!!

After being postponed a week due to weather, the Heins’ packed up the van and headed out to find a tree. This will be the last year for a while that we have a ‘real’ tree because once we got it home, the finished product just didnt make the mess worth it. I hit Walmart on Boxing Day and have a beautiful artificial tree to put up next year.

Attempted Portraits

I made an appointment at Loblaws. I packed two boys in all their winter gear. I drove 20 minutes to the Loblaws. I unpacked both boys. I tamed some VERY unruly hair. I had them looking like angels. I waited for an additional ten minutes. Then I noticed the sign. The portrait studio was not open until ten. Which is sort of strange since I had an appointment at 9:40.

Quiet Time

Nate has decided he no longer needs an afternoon nap. Thank God for Krista (Nate’s daycare) because I would be losing my mind if he had no down time at all. This came at a time when Evan was just starting to work out a nap schedule and I was thinking I would get some time to myself during the day!

Funniest Sleeping Position Yet

I have been collecting pictures of the various sleeping positions of Nate, and after 100 or so pictures, I thought I had seen it all. Until I went in to check on him one night. This is what we found:
